Martinez outworks Golovkin with his speed and activity. Easy night. Martinez at 154 beats Cotto, Mayweather, and the overrated Alvarez.
How do you figure? Martinez didn't beat Barker or Macklin easy? He had stretches where he struggled with both, and neither has that great an offense. He's been put down by every big puncher he's ever faced - Williams, Pavlik, Chavez, Margarito. There's nothing easy about Golovkin for Martinez and vice versa. This fight would be a war.
Martinez is talking about fighting a lot of Fighters but Golovkin is not one of them,Martinez number 1 and Golovkin number 3 Middleweights in the World at the moment lets hop it gets made, one thing for sure Golovkin wants the fight and Martinez doesn't that there may be a hint on what he and a lot of middleweights think of Golovkin.!!!!
Im not so sure. But I want GGG to fight and beat one more good fighter before he gets to fight Martinez.... GGG vs Pirog : Winner fights Martinez. Not sure if Martinez keeps his titles in a fight with the winner. But id be rooting for him to :good
Barker showed that with distance control and ring IQ you can nick rounds off anyone. However GGG stalks his opponents and i wonder if he would just walk into range like barker did from round nine onwards but from the start
Martinez beats everyone at 154 for sure. Mayweather will never fight him- he knows Sergio would be too much for him. As much as I love Alvarez, his defense isn't up to snuff yet to the point where he could be successful against Martinez. Canelo's offense is outstanding, really fluid, explosive combinations and heavy hands, but he needs more head and upper body movement. He's a little too stiff and upright in posture, and needs to present a smaller, more mobile target to effectively close the distance on Martinez. Right now, since he doesn't do that, Martinez would beat anybody at 154. As for Golovkin, I think he's the biggest challenge out there for Martinez at 160. It would NOT be an easy fight. By all accounts, Golovkin has a very sturdy chin, and his defense is a bit underrated- Proxa wasn't catching him flush, a lot of that was partial connects and glancing shots. Golovkin hits HARD, can cut off the ring, has an effective jab, and a wide offensive arsenal- body shots, uppercuts in close range, a sweeping overhand right and a straight right. His timing, punch placement, and accuracy are all very solid. He has all the tools to beat Martinez, but at the same time, Martinez has the movement, handspeed, footspeed, power, and stamina to give GGG fits. It's a 50-50 fight in my mind.
And here come the GGG **** jockeys who think he can beat anyone because he knocked out a euro bum who didn't even bother to hold his hands up to defend himself. Keep the laughs coming. Idiots
We should find out in a couple weeks what ggg and geale are intending to do... Martinez will get neautilized by ggg...
