    Debatable decision notwithstanding, this fight ruled. Constant shifts of mometum and breath-taking exchanges from start to finish. Everything us boxing fans enjoy in a fight, really. :deal

    But does it reign over all the other fights that have taken place this year?

    I only half-watched it, due to it conflicting with Ponce De Leon vs. Gonzalez, but yeah, it looked :shock::shock::shock:

    What a fight!! That point deduction stopped it from being a draw. Would love watching it again.

    I feel for you IB, I was flicking between both fights but stayed for Martinez-Beltran Jr

    Was a much more exciting fight!

    It overshadowed a dream match-up and a riveting fight in PDL-Gonzalez. That's an indication of how good this fight was. Anyway, poll added, so let the TS know what you think. :good

    Hell no it isn't fight of the year! Maidana vs Karass and Ross vs Hernandez were both better fights yesterday! Salido vs JuanMa II and Josesito vs Ortiz are also in the running with the other fights I named for FOTY! :good

    I'll have to rewatch. This was at the same time as Gonzalez-Ponce on SHOWTIME so I wasn't paying full attention but from what I saw while it was a good fight I can name some that I believe are better.

    Will check it out in a while, but i have to say that this year has been very poor in terms of great fights, there hasnt been one fight this year that i would consider a great fight, hopefully we get some till the end of the year.

    All great fights.

    Didn't see YPH-Ross. Heard it was crazy so I'll have to check it out. Did see Maidana-Karass and while that was all sorts of fun to watch I think I preferred Martinez-Beltran, since it seemed to be less one sided on the whole than Maidana-JSK. I'll likely watch both again, and it's not out of the question that my opinion could change after a second viewing.
