Give Burns his dues. Martinez got outfought and out thought on the night simple as that. For me (and this is why i thought he'd beat Burns no problem) Martinez is very good at what he does. Burns fought perfect fight and the perfect gameplan was set out by Billy(and thats all the credit you're getting off me) :smooch

 

Come Billy mate, when we say crap obviously to your average boxer it is a load of bollocks but in terms of World Champs he wasn't all that he was number 1 or 2 the ring had him at 2, but at this moment in time the division looks weak, that's taking nothing away from Ricky and yourself.

Rated by who? Anybody that thought he was the best super featherweight in the world is a complete idiot. There are better fighters out there, Martinez was just rated by people on here because he knocked out Cook who has bad punch resistance as has been shown in the past.

Apart from that he'd done nothing but knock over guys he's supposed to. He couldn't even KO Walter Estrada for christ sake, Kevin Mitchell knocked him out laughably easy.

He was nothing but an overrated, crude, brawler as was shown on fight night. Not once did he show any boxing skill, his only plan was to swing and hope to land a big punch. A great scalp considering Burns was stepping up from domestic level, Martinez is a decent fighter in that context, but in terms of world level fighters he was very very poor and one dimensional.
