Martinez didn't do his "good luck" saying at the Cotto glove touch

Anybody think that was weird? I've watched many of his fights and he always says it after they touch as almost sarcasm, as in "you're gonna need it".

But with Cotto he didn't say it, maybe his mind was somewhere else? I think Martinez thought he could just go in there hurt and take out Cotto early, not realizing how diminished he really was. Just a psychological thing i thought was interesting when i re watched the fight.

I think the opposite. I think Martinez knew how limited he was and was always hoping he could rise to the occasion once the time came.... to me he always had that look in his eye and scorn for cotto pre fight that he knew he was getting 'picked' now that insiders knew he was done after years of wanting Cotto.

eh... I know Im reaching on that (I can tell that much from some interviews? lol) but its just imo
