Yeah as far as I know Munroe-Maladrottu is going to be a WBC eliminator sometime in November. Ndlovu will handle Martinez easily enough anyway. Not sure how he got himself into an eliminator though

Munroe was offered Martinez by the IBF as an eliminator I think..... not quite sure what the point of that was - having won easily twice :nut

Pointless for boxing fans maybe but surely a handy way to skip to the head of the queue for a title crack against Cruz?

Maladrottu is a tougher fight to get through and Nishioka is probably a tougher prospect that Cruz (at FW). Seems a little strange but I guess either way he's one win away from a world title shot.

    Hmmm....

I think this is just another example of how the IBF shoot themselves in the foot.

As they don't have interim/super/diamond champions, they are in that respect the most credible body, yet some of the mandatories and eliminators they have are just ridiculous.

Surely they ought to recognise recent form - after all form is what gets a fighter up the rankings?

Being outboxed twice, pretty easily as well (despite the close cards first time) shouldn't get you an immediate shot at anything, IMO.
