boxing is totally corrupt ****ing cintron got a nice rest there too after the knock out the bull**** point deduction the corrupt bull**** judges three factors combined to make a bull**** decision corrupt ****ers I had Martinez in my parlay
One of the worst things Ive seen. Shades of Whitaker's draw with Chavez. Funny thing tho. In between the 11th and the 12th, Shields tell Cintron that he NEEDS this last round or he lost. There is a bs point deduction and suddenly because of it there is a draw. Im not normally one for conspiracy theories, but.....this defiantely fits.
feel sorry for a guy like martinez. he's been waiting years for some top fights. and when his chance comes he gets robbed. atsch
For the last three rounds, my girlfriend was getting pissed off saying it sounded like Max & co. were making excuses for possibly a Cintron gift...can't say she was too off the mark...
Im legitly pissed off. Like Im mad. That hasnt happened on a decision in a LONG time. This fight wasnt even as close as Santa Cruz - Casa.
what happened on the knockdown incident then. sounds like he was counted out and somehow allowed to continue with the knockdown scored against him. :huh run it past us someone. :yep
Nope, Martinez won 9 rounds clear plus a knockdown. Tenth was Cintron's best since the first two, but eh...even at best. 113-113???????????????????? atsch And speaking of that knockdown...the commentators tied themselves up in knots going on about how "his knee was off the canvas by a millisecond at the count of ten" (let alone that there was a long pause between nine and ten...and I tapped out a pretty fair six-count from the time Cintron touched the canvas with his gloves to when the ref spun around and picked up at "five") - but that isn't the letter of boxing law, AFAIK. The fighter has to be fully erect on his feet and the ref has to take his gloves in his hands and say "come to me" and determine the fighter's OK to continue (even at the end of a round, even at the end of a fight!) before a fighter can officially be said to have "beaten the count" for purposes of a clean KO...am I right? Didn't we just dust off the rulebooks not long ago for Bute-Andrade?
Really this fight was on the level of Whitaker - Chavez for me. And we ALL KNOW how much I love Sweet Pea. I scored it 10-2 minus a kd for Martinez...10 to freakin 2. And how do you take a point away from a fighter for hitting behind the head when the opponent is COMPLETELY bending over and ducking down? What else can he hit but the back of his head. I cant believe that decision...its what I hate so much about this sport sometimes.
