All of the supposed heir apparents were exposed as the frauds aficianodos
knew they were, and now it's time serg faces the best in his division. He'll
not get the superfights against the welterweights he wants, so the only
logical choice now is the #1 contender in the middleweight division. That man is undefeated dimitry pirog. Win, lose, or draw. Martinez has to give the russian his shot.

Any fan with a brain knew that glass jawed Kirkland was no challenge, even BEFORE tonight.

Sturm's still there and a worthy opponent. Winner of N'Jikam-Golovkin should be pretty good too.

Yeah, and alot of these brainless ****s who make up ESB's majority
were calling for kirkland to fight sergio instead of pirog. How about that?
That was the point of my thread.

Sturm is clearly ahead of Pirog in the division. While he probably would never take the fight, it's silly to declare Pirog the next best middleweight in the world.

Even if Kirkland and Lemieux had won this weekend, they still really would not be ready for another year or so. I think this impacts the future of the division more so than any opponent for Martinez in the near future.

Don't forget JCC Jr. He brings the most interest and probably the most money out everyone else there.

Sturm might be ahead in the rankings, but he's not as good a fighter as pirog. Besides, sturm won't leave germany to get KO'd by martinez.

Assuming he beats Zbik, I wonder who gets first crack at him, diamond belt holder Martinez or mandatory challenger Rubio.

Rubio or Pirog but they won't bring in the money Sergio is looking for, that is the problem. Maybe Chavez Jr. if he wins but Arum wont pit him against Martinez :nut

HBO has a massive say in his next fight, I think strum and Pirog is the only real match up at 160 in the next 2 months

Pirog definitely comes out smelling the rosiest, and not because just Lemieux and Kirkland got kayoed.

His opponent was arguably better than both of theirs...and certainly more of a style nightmare for him than theirs were for them.

I might take Maciel over Rubio or Ishida.

Gennady Golovkin is fighting at 160. That's probably the most competitive fight Martinez could take.

He should fight Pac at 154 under the old rule of same day weigh-in! I want to see his ass kicked by Pac at level playing field!
