I agree with Martinez cause look at the 9th round like in in the beginning 30 second in the start of that round before the cut, Martinez was throwing alot of punches and was landing mostly all of them and then Martinez hit a big left that cut Pavlik badly.
I was wondering if anybody else heard that. I wasn't sure I heard it right when I watched it the first time but that's definitely what the translator said.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl This is about as convincing as Roy claiming he deliberately lost to Tarver. I can't believe people are actually taking this seriously, it shows up the painful bias around this whole affair. "I let my opponent win a few rounds as part of my game plan to get him overconfident." Now how ridiculous does that sound? It's bull**** guys, Pavlik adjusted in the middle rounds and Martinez knew he had to turn it up or he was risking getting turned around, so he did. And Pavlik talks about how the cut affected him, and he gets diced up by all of you?
It's always a good thing to put words into the Champion's mouth and discuss something he never said. So he held back to have enough stamina for a strong finish, nothing new here. But he could've held back at any point of the fight and still win convincingly.
Hmmm. . .dunno much about his "humility" although he can say nice things about violence against women and the earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. In the ring, however, his body language and actual fighting style are quite cocky.
You and your punch stats again.... didn't they cause you enough embarrassment last time, you senile old fool?
Oh, my bad. Even still, there's no excuse for the cut off sleaves either lol.:bart Martinez is a bad dude, no doubt. Crazy to hear he started at 20. I just can't stand anyone acting like the second coming of RJJ in the ring.
Martinez lost those middle rounds because he was dead tired. He luckily got his second win in the 9th round and commenced to pounding Pavliks face into pizza. If he did say those things, then he'll eventually end up on his ass and he'll say "guys get up for Sergio Martinez, Martinez don't get up for guys".
