Nah, but being serious, I don't know who really won that fight. To me it seemed like Martinez did based on harder, cleaner shots. It's like the Clottey vs Cotto fight, I thought Clottey beat Cotto up more than Cotto beat him up and I thought the same in this fight (Martinez beat Williams up more). But maybe did end up losing round wise.

 

Yea it was real close, and it's good to hear him not whining but excepting it and move on.... The Cintron fight was a joke and I think that's where all the **** started, when he was on the downside two straight fights... but he's lucky and has been given three big shots to glory in a row also, so I'm sure he's not so mad in the end...

Yeah, it could've gone either way, it's just that one of the judges was planning on putting it up his backside from the get-go no matter how the fight went down.

 

Yes, the round was nearly over when PW went down, but at the start of the 2nd Martinez failed to act like he was fighting a wounded fighter, and PW was in fact hurt. Sergio ****ed up.

And then, by the end of the 4th, Martinez was huffing and puffing like he just ran the Boston Marathon. By that time Paul was all the way back in the fight.

 

if not for the score card that was filled out before the fight i don't think anyone would have had a problem with any result in that fight.

Williams was preparing for a fight, just not a fight against Martinez, but he was still preparing.

 

He had no problem saying he was robbed against Cintron..

I don't give a **** what these fighters say afterward. Whether they're being gracious, honest, political, whatever... Means SQUAT. Even Reid said Joe won... Even Mosley said Miguel won... Even.... BLAH BLAH BLAH.

 

Thats cause Cotto and Calzaghe won those fights. It does nothing for you personally cause it doesn't suit your argument in who you "feel" won the fight.

Martinez is right in this regard cause that fight could have gone either way, the only robbery in this fight was that bull**** 119-110 scorecard.

 

GREAT interview. Martinez just won a longterm fan. I already found him an interesting fighter in terms of his style, but now I'm a genuine fan.
