Barkers body was open all night, good to see Sergio adjust and start to work at it

Its hard to look good when fighters is in shell like Barker when Barker opened up Sergio started punishing him and ko him. No need to say now Sergio is crap and **** like that, its hard to look good in a fight like that.

Martinez couldn't have looked good last night. Wouldn't look to much into that fight IMO. Clottey - Pacquiao was a stinker..

Was a good fight. Barker was an unknown entitiy to almost everyone (including Michael Buffer "Baker" lol).

I hated the way the Sky Sports commentators were berating Martinez saying he was "looking towards the big money fights," etc. End of the day, Barker fought very well but Martinez fought a disciplined fight and by my scorecard was well up on the scorecards prior to the KO. Sergio looked like he way giving away quite a lot in weight and I think that was perhaps the difference between his punches being only partially blocked against the likes of Williams/Pavlik/Dzinziruk, and fully blocked by Barker.

Maybe Martinez deliberately looked less convincing in order to provoke Pac/May into fighting him? Either way, neither of them deserve any stick, they both fought a world class fight and Sergio proved that he's still in the p4p top 3/4.

LOL, dude shut the **** up.

First of all, Pavlik needs to beat Jack Daniels before thinking about Martinez. :yep

Secondly Pavlik's middleweight reign was one of the worst in history, he did NOTHING after winning the title.

Thirdly, Pavlik just ducked Lucian Bute, and currently had no ****ing honor WHATSOEVER.

Fourthly, Pavlik screwed over his own fans in youngstown by pulling out of the cunningham fight days before the event.

    And lastly?

He is good no doubt but he has a lot more competition at middle weight then some people would like to admit. Pavlik a shell of himself was winning against Martinez and Barker made him look vulnerable again last night.

Martinez looks vulnerable in all his fights. Rewatch the Williams fights and the Pavlik fight. This is nothing new. It's part of the reason he's so entertaining to watch. He never plays it safe. At least last night he showed that he has boxing smarts as well as natural ability. He adapted very well mid-fight, ad******g his attack to get past Barker's guard.
