For all the idiots saying who has Golovkin beat? Who has been willing to face Golovkin? Sturm? How about Geale, will he face Golovkin? Pirog is in the same boat, after he beat Jacobs HBO should have begged him to come back to fight Jr, Lee, Macklin.

If Martinez fights GGG and beats him, GGG would fall on the "eurobum" list. Then (insert name here) will be the next big thing that Sergio is ducking.

He has for a while. Since he beat Pavlik, there hasn't been one middleweight in the world who would be favored over him. He's beaten several top contenders in a string of knockouts.

I know Ive spammed this in a few threads but its relivent here.

Martinez now has a longer linear middleweight reign then anyone since Hopkins.

Taylor beats Hopkins : Made 4 defenses against Hopkins, Winky (draw), Ouma and Spinks
Pavlik beats Taylor : Makes 2 defenses against Taylor, Lockett
Martinez beats Pavlik : Has made 5 defenses against Williams, Dz, Barker, Macklin and Chavez.

I hear what your saying nobody wants to fight him but hes gonna be forced into some big fights, atleast after him headlining an dominating an hbo card, an if he continues to impress hell get his shot. As for pirog, hes been sorta pushing for a fight in russia. Who would honestly want to go out there. Other than golovkin, who will kick his ass, nobody would. I think guys like macklin and barker would both be willing to fight those guys and likely both would win easily. Quillin is gonna wait til sergio retires to try an "take" the top spot hes shown zero interest in fighting a top oppenent.
There in a tough boat but there time will come they just cant have any mishaps til it does

That's the type of stuff you'll always find on places such as ESB. It's okay though, because as long as Martinez is fighting and defeating the top rated contenders of the division (his era), he's filling the requirement for greatness, at least in the divisional sense. It doesn't hurt that he hasn't merely been a guy reigning over a division, but one of the top P4P as well.

I kind of feel the same way, but I don't know if it can be considered spamming. Martinez just fought (and on PPV for the first time) so naturally there are going to be a multitude of threads on him in the week or so immediately following. He'd only fought once before since I'd been here until the Chavez fight. It'll die down as the focus shifts to other topics, at least until we get some idea of where he's going to be in his recovery and possible opponents, dates, etc.

It annoys me when people already believe Golovkin is the best at MW. You are entitled to your opinion, but damn, please show some respect to those who have worked long and hard to get to their position like Sergio has. I like 3G a lot and I think he'll be king someday but his resume does not compare to Sergio's at the moment. He's beaten: Pavlik, Williams, Chavez, Macklin and that completely overshadows beating one good fighter named Proksa.

No doubt Martinez is number 1 at the moment Great Fighter, but with Golovkin rated number 3 at Middleweight shouldnt we expect him to get a fight with Number 1 and 2 who are Martinez and Geale respectively,no argument with Me having Martinez at number 1 just like to See the Top Middleweights getting it on.!!!!!
