Been expecting to see someone throwing a serious offer for Martinez to fight, no good opponent wants to fight him after what he did to Williams,

    your thoughts folks?

    No? He isn't?

ROFL, never saw him fighting a decent boxer. Martinez will execute him anyway if you know what I mean.

ESB at it's finest. I bet you said that about Pirog too, who ironically, is being avoided by Martinez right now.

I disagree he's not avoided at all. Fact is there simply isn't an attractive name at middleweight right now that would generate the money he's looking for. A fight with Pirog right now would've generate much interest outside of hard core boxing fans. So I think that's martinez dilemma right now. He scored a major win. Beat pavlik prior and now riding a wave that should land him in "mayweather/pacquioau land" ( I mean in terms of upcoming paydays) But when it's all said & done , i'm sure Pirog, Sturm etc won't have a problem getting in the ring with him.

I think hes avoided to a point, but not the most ducked boxer.

    imo

    Pac - wont fight him
    Mayweather - wont fight him
    Cotto - wont fight him

Who at 154 (Cintron, Angulo, Cotto, Vanes) do you see calling him out? Nobody.

This is a top p4p fighter and the champion at 154 and 160.... and hes having a hard time getting fights. Yes... he is being avoided IMO.

There is a difference between a top p4p fighter and champion of two weightclasses having a hard time finding top opponents, and a fighter who has one noteworthy fight to speak of not being chosen as an opponent.

Pirog hasnt EARNED the right to say hes being avoided, the guy has one high profile win and isnt even ranked in the top 5 of his weightclass yet. Nothing wrong at all for him to do a bit more then beat a fellow prospect/contender before getting a shot at a champion like Martinez. Pirog is not getting avoided. Its just reality. And I like Pirog. There is a difference between avoiding someone, and not doing something because its just out of the realm of reality. Pirog is not in Martinez's radar yet for good reason.

Cotto said he was down to fight him. Who has Cotto ever ducked?? I mean really. Bob didn't want the fight.

Cotto doesnt duck anyone personally, thats for sure, but he is campaigning at 154, which Martinez is the champion of, and Cotto vs Martinez is a fight that could be made easy, and whatever the reason, in this case, Arum, Cotto wont be fighting him. That is being avoided, even if its not by Cotto personally. I should have worded it differently then Cotto wont fight him to Martinez cant get a fight with Cotto. Same with Pac (as obviously, Pac would be down personally to fight anyone Im sure)

Still, avoiding is avoiding, and Cotto/Pac, for the time being, are being kept away from Martinez..... but ya I wouldnt call it a duck.

    I don't agree.
If I was a fighter I'll go with who my promoter tells me to fight.
You can't blame the boxing game on a fighter. Cotto damn sure ain't no Berto.
