rubio is the next contender in line and his team already file a suit stating if martinez fights another boxer his belt would be strip.

Well who else derserves the fight??

Yes Rubio flied suit but who cares? Martinez will give that up and just be lineal champ if u ask me. means alot more then that WBC belt that they already stripped him before and gave it to Chavez for no reason

Martinez needs a tune up first isnt Rubio his mandatory?

He should fight him an easy fight but he will go rounds then GGG in summer

well the problem is that he wants to Cotto in June with no tune up. so if Cotto turns it down he should fight GGG with no tune up or its a duck

I disagree. I would like to see Martinez take the Rubio fight so everyone can assess where he is at. Rubio is a tough mofo and will give Martinez hell.

    Will be a good fight.

so he should fight Cotto but if Cotto turns it down go for Rubio expect for the #1 contender and in the division?? Im tried of Rubio, hes not gonna win that fight. Yea hes a mandatory to the belt but hes not the #1 contender in the whole division.

Whole thing with offering Cotto huge dollars and getting him away from Martinez fight is part of back room ploy by Haymon to get lineal out of HBO hands and put KC in with Rubio.

That way KC can be protected but GBP/SHO can at least make claims and big fights.

If GGG gets his hands on WBC/lineal, which he will if he can get the shot first, GBP/SHO left with absolutely nothing above 154. Hence throwing huge dollars and maybe FMJ at Cotto, because if Rubio doesnt owe anything to Haymon chances are HBO/GGG would get him in the ring. Because Rubio might not be willing to sign on to SHO umbrella and long term handcuffing just for Quillin shot, and GBP/SHO isnt about to let HBO take their only belt at MW.

Not really, he knows Cotto and GGG are two different beasts, Martinez could beat Cotto at 80% but at 100 Golovkin is still a very tough fight

People always talking about ducking as long as the fight is eventually made why worry about the in between

well I disagree with Martinez can beat Cotto at 80% Cotto is an animal and Martinez keeps his hands down way to much to beat him even if 100% IMO.

anyhow say martinez thinks how your thinking, its a duck if he doesnt fight GGG.

The problem with "if the fight happens down the road then who cares" is a problem because if he doesnt fight im now then will he ever fight him??? Im pretty sure at some point he will get offered Forch or Ward in 2014 and its hard to turn those fights down to sit around and way for Martinez to finally step up. Thats the problem.

Well all know and the boxing world knows GGG is here and derserves it. unless he promoises a fight with GGG after one fight then its a huge duck. U go from fighting Cotto to fight rubio but not GGG. and if they strip him who cares!! Martinez will make alot alot alot MORE MONEY fighting GGG and can pick up his title and still be champ with a win.

its a duck in my eyes if he doesnt fight GGG if Cotto turns it down. If Cotto expects then it isnt and winner will fight GGG

FM Sr strongly advises FMJ not to step in with either Martinez or GGG. Says its stupid. Its not gonna happen.

(though id buy the fight if lightning struck and it did happen)
