I was watching on HBO and saw a sneak preview of a Martinez fight on March 12th. Its not on PPV? Well, I'm happy because I'll get to watch it free but my concern is how why isn't that on PPV? He's atleast at the top 2-4 in lb4lb standings. Mosley was on PPV against Mora. We all know Pac and Floyd are on PPV. Donaire might be on PPV on his next fight (I have this feeling it'll be on PPV). Can someone enlighten me on how can someone become a PPV material type of a fighter?
Martinez may be one of the best fighters but hes not well known. Mosley - Mora was a golden boy PPV that HBO just distributed. HBO werent involved in the promotion. Same as Jones-Hopkins 2. Martinez isnt known outside of boxing fans so hes not PPV. Donaire wont be PPV either
I guess the only chance for him to be on PPV is to fight Floyd and win it. A Cotto fight or a Chavez Jr fight might bring Martinez there but he has to win it in a way that people will remember him. This fight with Dizinziruk will only help his resume if he manage to win I believe. It's really nice to get to watch this sport without us paying too much just like the NBA and NFL. But boxers don't fight more than 80 times per season/year like NBA so that's prob'ly why some Boxing events are on PPV.
Theres no need for an extra E in Sergio, Jacory Harris. You're welcome and you're one of the most overrated college QBs of all time.
:happy I hate PPV... Certainly with those extremely high prices. Boxers were given bigger purses in the pre PPV era (certainly if you take inflation into account).
I doubt Sergio will become a ppv with his own name. Only if he got a fight with Floyd or Manny will he be on ppv
Coming from one of PacGwire's personal sack dusters I'll take your opinion with a grain of salt my friend.:good
lol A fight with Pac or May are the only fights I believe he's going to need that will put him there. Sergio is not getting younger. He's gonna need a good break if he's planning on retiring soon.
Yeah you know what I meant by that. hehe.. Actually, you can subscribe to HBO then cancel it the next day after the fight and tell them you're switching to the other cable company. You might get a refund for it but I wouldn't suggest that though.
