Sergio Martinez is more than happy to accommodate Cotto's move up to middleweight, who wins? I personally think Martinez absolutely decimates Cotto & sends him into retirement.

cotto said he wanted to go to middleweight right? i think cotto himself is the only one who wants to move up that far but if so then so be it.

it would be a very interesting fight considering how martinez is looking faded

That's the question isn't it, and why I can't give an answer to the poll.

2011 Maravilla decimates Cotto, even the version the dominated Jr in 2012 wins handily, but if he's faded any further since the Murray fight I see it too close to call.

Cotto has to close him down and shut off the ring slowing him with bodyshots, Maravilla has to stay mobile and punish Miguel from range.
Who wins in 2014 - who knows?

Martinez can beat Cotto at any range whether it be inside or outside.

    Martinez by points, probably.

Martinez has the size and reach, with a very mobile upper torso. Cotto has no reach and really puts himself in trouble with a crafty counter puncher such as Sergio.

Doesn't Martinez thrive on come forward fighters such as Cotto?

Two top notch guys, I would love to see the fight and wish both the best.

No need for a catchweight. Catchweight fights are ruining the credibility of Boxing

Doesn't matter how much you dream while lounging in your room all day surrounded with your Sergio posters.

After Chavez had him on Queerstreet...Cotto will definitely put him down!!!

Bad move for Cotto IMO. He should stay at 154.

I admire Cotto's desire to get that 4th & Martinez is right for the picking.
Sergio has to be favored tho going in...

A 4th world title in a different weightclass will be the first fighter from the islands to achieve that.

4th title in 4th weight class. I don't think any PR fighter has done it yet.
