He adopts very well. Much better than Pacquiao but probably not better than PBF. that is one of the reasons I have picked Martinez to beat PBF in the past. I feel like he is just as good as PBF at adapting or maybe slightly behind him in that. Also the size and speed are big factors.
I agree. I think that fight will be an absolutely snoozer for 4-5 rounds though, but I love Martinez's attitude... Even more than Pac's. Pac wants to answer back, but he does it wrecklessly. Martinez wants to answer back, but he's smart. No chance in hell Martinez gets a decision against Floyd, BUT he could definitely knock him out if he were to apply gradual pressure like this.
Really? Donaire struggled against a midget like two fights ago.. JMM, although I give him mad props for his performance against Pac... He went life and death with Katsidis a couple fights ago. People struggle sometimes. Donaire hasn't got the KO in his last 2 fights, and they both been a bit boring. JMM is the master of mashing the gas to the floor, and then slamming on the brakes before he excites to many people.
It's 4:30am here. Can't be bothered to give a full-length reason, but, as you say, peope struggle sometimes. Just like Donaire and JMM struggled with their guys, Martinez struggled tonight as well as last time against Barker. That's not to say he's not good. Far from it. Just that when looking at P4P, I tend to take into consideration the level of skill and talent I see, too. And in JMM and Donaire, I see more.
Ward as never beat an undefeated champion. Always fought in his backyard. He is not undisputed in his division. And he is ducking Bute.
