For me, the order goes like this: 1) Martinez (close loss to Williams, comfortable win over Pavlik) 2) Pavlik (loss to Martinez, would probably stop Williams) 3) Williams (close win over Martinez, probably stopped by Pavlik)
I think so too. Williams just has a lot more physical tools to work with than martinez and Martinez got the job done even though it got shaky in the middle there 1. Martinez 2. Williams 3. Pavlik
Exactly. And WILLIAMS BEAT MARTINEZ. You can say whatever you want, and it was a very very very close fight, but WILLIAMS BEAT MARTINEZ. 1. Williams 2. Martinez (reaaallly close) 3. Pavlik
At 160 the OP is correct I think, although bear in mind that 160 is not the natural weight of two out of three of these fighters. Pavlik was beaten by Martinez' movement and slickness. Williams does not have that movement and slickness, he's pretty much a straight-ahead volume puncher with some unorthodox skills mixed in. Against Pavlik I think he'd probably just keep walking into the 1-2 and get stopped pretty quickly. Martinez is clearly the best out of the 3 now IMO.
1. Williams 2. Martinez 3. Pavlik One thing people need to realize about Williams, was that he was prepraring to fight Pavlik when he had to switch up and fight Martinez. Meanwhile, Martinez was preparing to fight Williams the whole time. Regardless, their fight was very close. Williams' size, speed, chin, and volume punching make him the best head-to-head fighter of the 3. Martinez isn't far behind him though. A rematch between the two would really help clear it up.
