It had nothing much to do with power. Martinez caught Williams with a perfectly-timed punch he didn't expect. Those kind of punches are probably the biggest contributors to flash knockdowns.

 

He's a little slower but has a better chin and has about the same punch connection rate as Pavlik in the low to mid 20's!! between 21%-26%

 

Williams KD of Martinez was a balance/flash KD. Not the other way around though. Williams WAS hurt.
