Martinez is the main man for me in boxing, carries himself like a good pro outside of the ring and in it is a warrior, will fight anyone and anywhere,Floyd and Manny never wanted to fight each other even though the whole world wanted to see it,pity there aint more top fighters like Martinez around, puts Floyd and Manny to shame, two spoilt brats..

They will be calling for him to fight Gannady Golovkin.

Let's see how your precious Sergio responds to this(instead of calling out welter weights)?

ok let's see the top p4p fighters at the moment...

    147 - pacquiao
    154 - mayweather
    160 - martinez
    168 - ward

so they are all separated by 1 division each. martinez is the naturally bigger guy than pac and floyd and you said he would fight everyone smaller than him. how about the guy above him?

Martinez is more of a JrMW than he is a SMW

Pacquiao is more of a JrWW than a JrMW

    Floyd is a WW

    And Ward is a SMW

The fight that has the best chance of getting done when comparing body sizes is ; Mayweather Martinez @154

The fight that will more likely be made is ; Ward Martinez @168

Looking at the cash cows who Martinez will likely gun for , Mayweather, Canelo & Cotto

None of them will fight him, guaranteed !!! :deal

I'm sure the vast majority perceive GGG to be his #1 MW threat, and there will be a cry for this fight.

I'm just as sure that Sergio will not take it.

He's no different. Just watch. It will be the same excuses; no following, etc, etc.

<3 sergio gabriel Martinez <3 love that old man, his to legit to quit now, experience pulled him through.

**** myself when he went down, i thought here we go again, but when the scores were read out, kind of suprised, thought the judges would have it closer.

Respect for Julio for taking the fight and showing that pretty much anybody but martinez at 160 down would have a tough night.

he looked a lot taller then the press conferences, and just looked massive.

    well done Sergio

He is a small middleweight/junior welterweight who has fought at 147-160. Why should he step up to fight Ward at his weight, probably in his home town, if he can fight Mayweather at 154, a weight he is comfortable with? He already moved up to fight at 160. Why shouldn't he look for a fight against the top 2 P4P fighters of this generation and get a big payday before he is too old?

Or why doesn't Ward come down to his weight, why does it automatically have to be Martinez to move weight? Direll? You must be kidding, if Direll is fighting anybody it should be Ward
