For me an atg is anyone who's greatnes transcends time in boxing. The first great mw was the nonpareil. If Martinez finishes his career as I said I reckon he surpasses the unbeatable man and secures himself atg status. He'll have unified the division again and made 8 defences over what, 4 years? Plus he'll have overcome a variety of styles. I'm happy with my statement. The initial greats are there on reputation alone as their resume can't be scrutinised to the degree we can with modern fighters.
