Pretty sure that post was sarcasm mate. Though the problem with the General forum is that it's often hard to tell who is trying to be funny and who genuinely holds silly opinions.
atsch What the **** is wrong with some of you dudes on here...didnt Margorito just come in heavy as **** against Pac, but you didnt say a ****ing word about him...Now all of sudden Martinez is a ***** according to you, but Margorito isnt??? Get the **** out of here with that bull****! The only ***** is you keyboard warrior...At least he's man enough to fight...Its quite easy to sit your fat sloppy ass behind a computer and call a pro fighter a *****!:verysad
atsch :nut :rofl :rofl These guys don't seem to understand. It is not up to Martinez, HBO dictates, since they pay the fight, who is going to fight Martinez! And to top it off Arum, Margaritos promoter, won't let Margarito fight Martinez because he would rather make a Cotto/Margarito 2 and/or Margarito/Chavez Jr. and keep it in-house. I guess you haven't learned about TR tactics! If HBO really wanted to make Martinez/Pirog they would have already and Martinez/DiBella would have no say so on the fight; its either you fight or GTFO.
He is just following a BIG money fight and only Cotto, Pac and Mayweather can offer what he wants. Cotto is already at 154lbs, Pac and Mayweather can move up to 154lbs. But neither would and its okay. To top it off Arum promotes Pac and Cotto and would never make a Martinez vs Cotto/Pac. Martinez has said only for those 3 he would move down to 154lbs, just like the same way Marquez has said that (or did) that he would move up to welter to fight Pac (and fought Mayweather). Marquez, just like Martinez was following the cash cows. Canelo offered Marquez a catchweight of 147lbs to fight him and Marquez diclined saying he will only move up for Pac and rightfully so, if you lose you atelast take $5 million compared to what he would have taken by fighting Canelo.
Hes already moved up from 154 to 160. Why do people think you have to jump all over the place in weight to be a good fighter?
He knows bpth fight won't happen in a million years, he is just trying to get the media attention, so casual fans get to know him
atsch My bad...its kinda hard to tell that given that we do have actual assholes on here....Again, my bad!:good
I think a lot of it is down to some folk just having really short attention spans. It's easier to just demand boxers fight a handful of fights in a division then move up again to 'prove' themselves rather than actually taking stock of the fights available to them, and realsing for yourself what they've actually already proven. That and a number of high-profile boxers - Pac-Man included - have jumped up a weight class just to win a belt and move back down, and now a lot of folk seem to think it's the way it should be for all boxers.
