Martinez should have been Fighter of the Year!

    Why did they make Pacquiao win another Fighter of the Year award if he already won three? :patsch Floyd would have met Clottey and probably schooled Margarito if they met. All boxing pundits and real fans know that. Fact.

    I find this reasoning stupid and unfair to those who have not received the award in their entire boxing careers such as Martinez.

    If not Martinez, then why not give it to Floyd who systematically picked apart a prime Mosley after getting almost stopped in round two. :patsch

    1. Money May was no where near being stopped by Mosley in round 2 and schooled him 10-2

    2. Mosley was the official peoples champion of 147 after destroying margarito and was ducked by Pac the previous summer.

    3. Money May proved he is still the legit 147 linear and ring welterweight champion.

    4. Sergio can bring it in 2011, Money May is going to take his middleweight Ring championship title. 60/40 split, what it do?

    This is more reason people want to see Pacquiao vs. Mosley....

    How he beats or gets beaten by Mosley is a gauge for him against Mayweather. :good

    How? Floyd DESTROYED Mosley. What did Mosley win a round? Even if Pac KOs Mosley what credibility does he get? Mosley is a year older on his senior boxing tour. Pac is fighting bums from the arum stable and Floyd leftovers.

    It is a popularity vote. Very little to do with performance. Have you ever seen the voting in a all-star game for MLB, NBA and such?

    Floyd dominated Mosley, but he didn't destroy him.

    No one was concerned about Mosley's health. No one was saying stop the fight. No one was asking whether Shane will ever be the same again. No one was sitting there thinking "Jesus... this needs to end." No one mentioned "unnecessary punishment".

    Read again, Pac fights bums. Floyd doesn't. Cotto and Margarito are bums. I know you believe fighting Mosley is a step up for Pac but let me educate you, it's not.

    Nazeem was going to stop the fight. The announcers even said that Shane looked old that night and was not the same Shane the fought Margarito. They all pretty much were wishing him a happy retirement. Yes, Floyd destroyed Mosley the boxer that night.
