At the end of the day the belts mean very little, wins over most of those guys wont elevate sergios status

true, the cintron fight was in florida which he was robbed in, and the first williams fight was not a robbery as it was a razor close fight that could have gone either way but it did have an american judge who scored it 119 - 110 to williams LOL

Really? I'm pretty sure if Sturm believed that himself he'd fight him in a flash. If Sturm was on Martinez' level, he wouldn't be defending against the likes of Ronald Hearns for the last several years.

In order to unify at 160 Martinez would have to fight at least two real middleweights. He has shown no interest in fighting any middleweights. He called out a welterweight and a junior welterweight.

Pacman isn't 36 yrs old. Pacman faced a 154lb fighter in Margarito he can do the same with Martinez. Pacman is only p4p #1 based on his wins yrs ago with Barrera, Morales, Hatton, and Cotto. When Pacman beat them they were close to shot or past their primes. You can't say that about Martinez. All in their primes, Pavlik and Williams the favorites to beat him, and yet Sergio beats them all. Martinez has as much reason to be #1 as Manny or Floyd.

to the contrary he'll be avoided by all the big names where he could make a big purse if he keeps impressing and dominating the way he's doing....

in boxing is not fighting the best that get you the big purses is fighting the darlings the names the ones that have big followings

Not enough time/money to keep Martinez interested in the "Unify" business.
He is already considered the Universal MW champion regardless of owning a "legit" strap.
