why not? it will be like pac fighting @148-149 as a welter since maravilla will be around 170-172 as a supermiddle. maravilla does not have to take on the top 2 guys of the super six immediately. he can fight the 4th or 5th place guy first and see what happens.

That's looking at things in hindsight, buddy. Back then, Pac vs Hoya was a joke because people thought Hoya was gonna kill Pac. Back then it wasn't such a LOW RISK fight for Pac. You're a moron. :patsch

The real morons were the ones who thought Oscar would win and completely ignored the fact that Oscar looked like complete **** against Forbes. Oh, and let's willfully forget the fact that Oscar hadn't fought at welter in a decade. Wise up. Hell, I would ****ing bet a ton of money that JuanMa could take out today's version of Morales near 135-140.

He's trying to get money. The moment he jumps to fighting at 168, the chances of him losing is great, although I think he would stand a better chance against Froch, Abraham or Bute. He could simply out box Froch and Abraham and he would be faster than Bute. He wouldn't have enough power to hurt any of those guys, with the exception of maybe Bute. I think next to Ward, Froch would be very difficult for Martinez to beat at 168. All of those guys very very good tough fighters that would be most difficult for Martinez.

Tell me what fighter you think could be Ward? Do you really believe Martinez could beat Ward? If so, what advantage does him bring to the ring that would ensure him a victory of Ward?

I don't know who wins , but to say Ward will destroy Martinez...is simply fullish.

I'll try to answer that: Martinez has better speed, more power , better footwork and good upperbody movement; and he already outjabbed a good jabber. I don't see Ward getting inside Martinez nor knocking him out. Ward has pedigree, talent and intelligence but Martinez is the one who has the X factor in this matchup. Also Ward's stocks are inflated by the desire of creating the next american hero. BTW, i don't see this fight happenng as Ward will move to LHW by the time Martinez moves to SMW

Martinez getting hit by the likes of Bute is not a sight I'm too keen of seeing. I feel there's a too big gap in size. The only super sixer I see Martinez beating is Abraham.

Martinez is too small for 168, plain and simple.

Boo, Sergio beat up Kelly. Kelly was hardly a "little guy."

If Martinez wants to fight anybody at 168, it should be Pavlik. No one can deny the fact that Martinez caught Pavlik at a time when KP had serious weight issues and was battling alcoholism. Those are indisputable facts.

Martinez wants money fights, but he can forget Pac and Floyd. Those guys are not going to fight him.

A second Pavlik fight would pay quite well, and it would allow Martinez to rid himself of the stigma that he only wants to fight little guys.

    Good points.

First, however, Kelly has to prove that he still "has it" because quite frankly he has looked nothing like the stalking, take-a-shot-to give a harder-shot monster.

What do you know about that Kelly's May opponent?
