It must be people with more money than sense, Primetime are bloody cheeky, to charge £15 for one event knowing Boxnation charges £10 for a month, reek's of a blatant rip off.
Shows that we have a good thing in BoxNation, at least most months. And look at what the American fans have to pay-- $60 PPV
At a recent press conference, I believe that F.W. claimed that their subscriptions were well ahead of target. They seem to be doing OK, I mean they are getting into MMA now. Cheap domestic stuff sure, but presumably they have plans to build the brand.
How can they do this? I mean, nobody in the UK gives a **** about Martinez or Chavez jr, apart from those of us who post in the British forum. This can't be good business, surely. Alex Reid is a bigger name in the UK than Chavez jr or Martinez, as ****ed up as that is.
I hope thats the case, i was gutted a few years ago when setanta folded and there subscription cost wasnt much more than boxnation
Different type of business with Setanta. They had quite a few subscribers, a little over a million I think, but they also had to spend millions on football rights.
im just glad were gonna have the option to watch the card now. i know its **** but were boxing fans. Surely were used to being ****ed in the ass by now???
Tbh im just glad its on tv, this is s fight you cant be watchin on a stream and it ****in up, dont mind payin for this one ppv for the year should be worth it
They don't seem to be running the UK shows that they were at the start of the channel. Sensibly they have now decided to buy in fights (often for as little as four figure sums) rather than run UK shows. I'm still sceptical that all is well at Boxnation towers however, after all why haven't the figures for Haye/Chisora been released?
Gutted. Really wanted to watch this fight but I am ****ed if I am paying fifteen quid for it. Note to Primetime if you read this. I would probably pay a tenner you greedy ****s.
Sky do release numbers, but only if they are doing well. My concern is that Boxnation are not trumpeting their numbers because they aren't as projected.
