Im a Sergio fan so i really dont suggest he takes this fight. Would have been competitive a few years ago, maybe even a year ago, but i stil dont know if Maravilla in his prime beats Golovkin in his prime. Dude is a monster and until someone makes him seem vulnerable, I dont know how much he really has.

martinez is washed up at this point, if they would have fought a year or two ago it would be a different story. not sure how ggg would do against a lefty.

Even against a prime Sergio, GGG knocks him out.

The sooner people realise how good he is the better for us all.

Now Golovkin is Forman??? My god you guys hype the **** out of these non UK ,USA white fighters. Golovkin can hit yes but what happens when a good fighter hits him back??? We don't know. He could have a glass jaw or he could have weak skin like the Klitsckos that rips open easy.

I hope Sergio doesn't take this fight. He has no chance and doesn't deserve the beatdown he will get.

Yes. We didn't even need Murray to figure this out for us, been saying for a while that both Quillen and GGG knock him out. Martinez is a decent puncher and mover but he can be dragged in to a brawl sometimes or if you catch him standing still he can be hit with some good shots.

If you've watched more then a few of his fights you'd know he's been hit with clean shots already, he is not a chinny fighter. I can already tell that you or someone else will reply with "but they weren't big punchers, what happens then?" So my reply is if it takes a big puncher to rock you, were you all that chinny to begin with? It takes a Golovkin or Lemieux to get a glass chin fighter outta there nowadays?

Also, not too many glass chinned fighters charge forward lookin' to mix it up and barely take a half step back in their fights. Trust me, he does not have a glass jaw.

Slightly favoring GGG at this point. Age is catching up to Martinez who relies on speed and reflex. Those are the first to go. We saw Sergio declining in hist last fight (or murray is better than I thought).

Martinez v GGG would still be a good fight though.

This fight won't happen & if it was to ever happen, Sergio will get stopped.

Even in his prime, I think Sergio would get stopped.

Martinez knows what time it is.

The old warrior needs to be put out to stud. (not a bad way to go!)

Sergio has been my favourite fighter for a while but he'd really struggle now
Unless he retires I don't see who else sergio can fight other then GGG... U dont think there's a clearer challenger to the throne in any division

If Sergio Martinez doesn't fight Golovkin he should be ashamed of himself, he'd have to retire today to save face, being as he's 38 and coming of a controversial, mediocre performance that might not be a bad idea, he could bow out now head held high. However if he carries on fighting and avoiding Golovkin it's gonna seriously damage his legacy which would be a shame for a great fighter like him.

And to all the other challengers at 160, if they wanna go the easy route and fight for paper belts instead of fighting the best in the division then they should consider if any of the best middleweights in the 70s avoided Carlos Monzon, or Marvin Hagler in the 80s. They would have laughed at the idea.
