I think everyone is aware Martinez was far from his best Cotto. He had great wins and was very extciting but he was never very hard to hurt and always showed weaknesses in his game. That's not a good combination when you're up against someone who has comparable skills with better power and chin. I don't think It's far-fetched.

Yes, imagine him fighting GGG with the hands down bull****, it's a recipe for disaster... I think Martinez is a great fighter but this is a bad styles match up for him, I think he'd beat Pirog in his prime though.

I agree. We haven't exactly seen enough of Pirog to tell how good he was. It's a shame GGG vs Pirog fell through though.
