I'm sorry, but Martinez is no ordinary fighter like Lee, Rubio and Manfredo. This will probably look like Mosley-Margarito for the first halfn, then Jnr will fold due to accumulation of punishment, just like Margo did.
I'm glad you brought up Tony, Can we all agree that Jr. is the "New" Margarito. (Except Margarito had waaaaaaaaaaaay better hair)
I know it's old, but some of you need to re-watch the Martinez/ Margarito fight. Then reevaluate your stance about Martinez KO'ing Chavez Jr and not getting stopped himself.
I honestly thought Lee would do better, but Martinez is on another level. Lee had the best performance of his life against Vera in his second fight. It was flawless. There is nothing more than you can ask from a fighter than what Lee did that night. Last night, Chaves just overpowered him. Chavez could get away with some of the offense he was doing because Lee doesn't do things that Martinez does. I won't get into detail right now about what those things are, but unless Chavez' jaw is made of steel and his body has an abormal ability to hold onto its wind, then it's very hard to see him make it out of this fight. A big pressure fighter should be a nightmare for a relatively undersized counterpuncher like Martinez, but Martinez has incredible accuracy and punching power. His defense isn't up there with Floyd's, but it's very effective, considering he's up against bigger, stronger, opponents in many of his fights.
