    Simple question- Who hits harder?

Victor- 5'9 (maybe 5'8.5), 164 lbs in the ring against Mayweather

    or

Martinez- 5'10, 165 lbs in the ring against Barker

Martinez even with the lower KO percentage. All you have to do is ask yoursef do you see Ortiz KOing Williams and hurting Pavlik. It's a longshot. If that was Martinez fighting Berto, Berto would've got KOd.

I'm just talking about pure power, not who's more likely to KO you.

I could see him KO'ing Williams...not saying it would happen, but I could entertain the possibility of it happening.

I'd say Ortiz. Sergio has excellent timing as seen in the Williams fight. The punch that KO'd Barker wasn't a devastating blow. Not even close. He was just a beaten fighter.

Since when does Margarito have KO power? He's an accumulation puncher.

    plus a cheater

    One shot power--Sergio

    Combination/sustained accumulation attack--Ortiz

    Better all around fighter--obviously Martinez

Pure power should be measured by one punch KO power on a pressure meter recording the force of the single blow I think. Therefore Martinez is the stronger puncher

Ortiz's power isn't half overrated on here.

Probably Martinez. He has the power to hurt middleweights, as heavy handed as Victor is I'm not sure if he could do the same. In a pound for pound scale I'd give it to Ortiz, but as it stands now I think the Middleweight Champ hits harder than the former welterweight champ.

I know you compared the fight night weights to minimize the size difference, but Martinez at 165 is bigger than Ortiz at 164, and I'm not talking just about the one pound over. I mean in quality of the size.

Oritz isn't that big of a puncher- Maidana hits harder than him, now ask yourself who hits harder Martinez or Maidana.

Stupid question, Martinez by a mile - **** the KO ratio

Margarito with bricks in his gloves only backed Williams up in the second half. Ortiz power has always been overrated. Berto doesn't have a great chin and if Ortiz was the puncher Martinez is, he would've KOd him.
