In my eyes, after Martinez's great performance against Williams i think he outboxes Pavlik to the final bell. and considering the bookies have Martinez a huge underdog il be having a good wager on it.

    Your thoughts?

Martinez put in a great performance against a guy who would not last 5 rounds with Pavlik. Sergio's jab sucks, he telegraphs his two best punches from 3 feet away, he can't clinch, his defense relies on speed and athleticism so it goes to **** after 5-6 rounds, he rushes in face first, circles the wrong way repeatedly, et. et.

No fighter ever saw the 10th round against Pavlik at 160. Do the math, and save your money.

Nothing is a forgone conclusion in ths fight. Nobodies knows how Martinez will deal with Pavlik's pressure and power. And No one knows how Pavlik will deal with Martinez's speed and movement.

I like this fight. You can never count out someone like Pavlik. He's a jerky dorky looking fighter, but he hits pretty hard.

Yea Martinez will completely outbox this inbreed. Pavlik has slow hands slow feet no head movement doesnt use angles biggest combo is a 1,2,3. He can punch - thats it. From what i saw against Williams Martinez has good boxing skills, a good chin a decent dig on him. I think hell outbox Pavvers all night and i'll be cashing in! Ch-ching.

Bet your house on Sergio. Then use the computer at the library to tell us how you feel about being homeless.

Martinez-Williams is a pretty bad barometer to use for this particular fight considering Pavlik fights nothing like Williams.

Personally, I think Sergio gets knocked out. I can see his movement, southpaw stance, and somewhat awkward style giving Pavlik problems, especially in the early rounds. But at some point, Pavlik is going to touch him...and when he does, I don't think Sergio is going to be able to absorb the power. He may have been able to mix it up with Williams and get away with it, but Pavlik's power is on a different level.

My pick is Pavlik by mid round KO, in a fight where he's down on the cards.
