This is the second fight I want to see the most after Pacquiao-Mayweather. After this, Montiel-Donaire, Martinez-Williams, Khan-Maidana, then Bradley-Alexander.
Very good fight. Martinez stated in an earlier interview that he would like that fight ebcause it would be good for the fans. It is one very risky fight and honestly its tough to call. Pirog really impressed me but Martinez has proved himself to be very damn good. I would need to see more of Pirog but as of now i will lean towards Martinez by a very close UD or SD.
If Pirog moved and slipped like he did in the Jacobs fight, he will be a nightmare for Martinez... add to the fact that Martinez loves to drop his hands to rest/showboat, I think Pirog can spark him something vicious. :yikes
If Jacobs can outbox Pirog for 5 rounds before getting Knocked out Martinez can do it easily for 12 without getting knocked out
Well Jacobs didnt. But I'll still back Martinez by close decision at the moment. Need to see Pirog fight again at top level or near top level to comment more accurately or with more weight.
Umm, I think you need to re-watch. Jokeobs didnt outbox ****. Still... Martinez is 2 light years better then Jokeobs, and I'd favor him at the moment. In another year it might be more in Pirog's favor.
You have to favour Martinez cuz he's more proven but i have no doubt it would be competitive and god damn would that be an exciting style matchup and be beautiful to watch.
Pirog went from the unknown and undeserving guy whom was spoonfed to a prospect, to a guy people feel can beat a top 10 pound-for-pounder based on his knocking out of an untested prospect. Ease up on the expectations, he'd get KO'd in the middle rounds against Martinez.
I mean DAMN!! Who the **** was Jacobs anyway??? 1 win against an untested prospect doesn't make a great fighter..........FFSatsch
