Martinez has the kind of style that could fluster Winky. Punches from angles can find gaps through Wright's guard.

Martinez is still underrated for mine.

Winky would have to reach out to tag Martinez,
who has a laid back style, so the gaps would be there for the counter.

I disagree, workrate is Winky's kryptonite, not angles. I don't think Martinez throws enough to win this.

You can through all the punches that you want at Winky, but if you can't find the right openings you're not going to get much through his guard... and Sergio's punch output is prety decent for a slick southpaw. He certainly threw and landed enough against Williams & Pavlik.

Martinez close but clear UD. After a few rounds he would get **** rolling, Winky would start well, go into a shell and struggle to hit Martinez as the fight goes on, struggeling with the movement and the punch output of Martinez.

Ive thought about this fight long and hard and i have Winky by 3 or 4 , he was too good defensively for Martinez and his output was not far behind , i think it would of been a very very technical fight early with Martinez looking to poor it on late and getting tagged with the cleaner shots , im not sure it would of been a great fight for the neutrals but i would of gotten a serious hard on watching these two go at it !!!!!

Winky by complete domination. People forget that winky is not just a defensive wizard but threw stiff straights and jabs. His pop was not world class but he lumped a couple of good fighters up in his day. Martiinez' movement would only succeed in making it a boring affair. All the recent success Martinez has had was against fighters with very little to no defense. Winky by wide ud.

Winky would beat Martinez at least 116-112. Martinez does well against fighters who have leaky defense. That ain't Winky.

While Wright achieved more and he's technically more perfect, it's an absolutely terrible style for him. Martinez not only neutralizes the jab very well, but has a longer and stlightly faster of his own. Not the best comparition, but think Kessler's boxing matched up with Calzaghe's to see how adaptability, natural talent and athleticism deals with very high level textbook stuff.

Martinez isn't busy enough for him. I got Winky on this one.
