Nooo, I like Sturm too much. This would not be Sturm's fight.

Don't forget Sturm was ****ed in the DLH fight. I thought he clearly won that. He turned out to have a better left hand than one of the most feared left hands in boxing.

Conversely, that ODLH fight was years ago, and don't forget Gevor was ****ed in his last fight with Sturm.

    Whats about Zbik, Golovkin,Pirog??

    Zbik interim WBC
Pirog WBO should be now nr 1
    Golovkin nr 1 WBC

Martinez will vacant 1 belt and fight Pavlik II or Williams.

Sturm good defence and jab. But still Martinez UD

I thought Sturm is out of boxing with huge legal problems and has blown up to CW size?

Yeah because throwing loads of pitty-patter punches on the gloves of your opponents wins you fights ... well, only if your name is Calzaghe.

Add Griffin to that list, he was mandatory and Sturm gave him a rematch when he couldn´t beat him the first time around. That´s what champions - yeah, he´s just a belt-holder - should do.

    1. Yes.
    2. No, Sturm is to discplined to do that. He never blew up between fights.

Martinez' middleweight prospects don't really interest me. IMO, Pavlik is the only name that garners any significant interest and the interest seems to be dwindling at an accelerated pace. Martinez should focus on a champagne at 54 where fights against Cotto, Margarito, PTP, and others would be better accepted by the boxing public.
