Lewis was planned to fight Johnson, Vitali was a late replacement.

Cotto could be an option as a tune up for Martinez then a fight with 3G or rematch JCC since all are HBO fighters.

Cotto brings good money and he's not such a big threat for Martinez. On the other hand 3G and JCC ( assuming that Jr wants this fight @ a cw above 160 ) are some serious problems for Sergio knowing that he's old and had lots of injuries ....

I don't mind him and Canelo, I believe Canelo is
made for middleweight. Floyd vs Sergio there's no point.
I believe he'll get neither though. He'll end up likely in
two more fights one being against Golovkin.

He didnt clean out the division:nono. There was plenty of fighters he didnt fight. But yeah his resume is as good as it needed to be for a guy who won his title at 35 y/o.

To clean out the division he woulda been starched by Golovkin a yr or even 2 yrs ago, but he didnt NEED that fight. But he also didnt NEED to take the more winnable fights vs Chavez, Murray, Barker etc.

Sergio was the best MW before GGG had his 18th pro fight. When Golovkin beat Ouma, even though noone recognized it, he was at that time the best MW in the world. And he will be til the day he retires.

    Your'e an idiot.

Lewis had his VERY BEST WIN in the previous fight. Even if Tyson was faded, he is by faaaaaaaarrrrrr Lewis best win.

Then, Lewis was jockeying for the RJJ payday after Vitali. Nothing wrong with Lewis wanting that fight, but he had unfinished business with a guy who roughed him up and lost only to cuts.

Lewis would have had at least 3 more fights had he dominated or beaten Vitali without controversy.

He didnt and he was mandated to fight him or be stripped. He chose to walk away without having his ass handed to him.

But I agree, he should have been allowed to take Jones Jr or whoever else he could. He shoulda been allowed the ABSOLUTE DUCK of Vitali, just like Martinez should be ALLOWED the duck of Golovkin.:deal:deal:deal

How do you become the best MW in the world by beating on a shot to hell Ouma:huh

GGG is 31 old ass years and his best win is over the dreaded Mathew Macklin. That would be impressive if he were 21.

I've never seen a guy get so much credit for doing so little.

Are ya'll really that desperate...is it that bad???

If by 'starched' you mean beaten by Golovkin then I have to disagree with you.

The Martinez that schooled Chavez Jr would have done the same to Golovkin had he fought him at that time.

Only a blind racist delusional ****** will think that Vitali or Lewis 'dominated' each other. That was a tough fight that went back and forth for it's duration and it was a fight between two bona fide Heavyweight ATG'S.
Lewis cut Vitali in the exact same places he cut Morrison,Tyson,Bruno, and Mason........

Lewis's best win wasn't Tyson you ****ing ******. rofl. He looked like **** against Tyson.. he just threw the jab and right hand. Very few combinations, no footwork, sluggish as ****. The ONLY reason he dominated Tyson was because it was a very past prime Tyson against a Past Prime Lewis.
Don't ever mistake motivation for Prime.. The entire boxing world said that it was a fight between two fighters who seen better days.

How the **** could Lewis be at his best.. he was KTFO just two fights ago rofl...

I never said Lewis dominated Vitali or vice versa. I said he was rough up by Vitali and Vitali was cut up by him.

As for Tyson being Lewis best win.......which was better. A 40 y/o Holyfield who was only competitive because of his chin and ROIDS????

Lewis, much like Wladimir became a far better fight with age. But unlike Wlad, he chose to retire at 37 whereas Wlad is preparing for arguably his 4th toughest opponent.:hi:

What hof'ers or atg, has he beat...hell name me five P4p fighters he beat, name me five elite fighters he's beaten...hell why doesn't he just call out Nonito since he's looking at smaller men rather than solidifying his career with wins against men his size who will be hof'ers...Ward, Froch...hell fight the top guys making noise in his own division, beaten up on 2nd tier opponents like Macklin, barker, Murray, Dzinziruk...guys who had done nothing before or after their fights with Sergio...

Beaten a drunk Pavlik who already got his ass beat by B-hop and splitting fights with Williams, while barely surviving against a slow, undisciplined Chavez who was full of weed doesnt make him great...

looks like he's trying to get a pay day before GGG retires him, but thing is, Floyd/Canelo could probably retire him as well

Martinez has no intention of going anywhere near GGG, EVER!
