I'm officially jumping off the Martinez beats williams bandwagon. In the 30 day weigh-in he came in at 176 and Williams came in at 162.

The weight for the fight is 157, which I thought was Martinez's idea, but if he was gonna be eating twinkies all day why the hell not 160?

Martinez will spending the last 30 days trying to cut weight while Paul will be getting in sparring with Quintana who's a baby Martinez.

Of course Martinez says it is not a problem and he always makes the weight, but this guy is not getting any younger and when you age weight sticks to you.

    Paul Williams by KO!!!!

Martinez seems to be an athlete that knows himself healthwise and maintains in good shape outside of the ring, He will be alright.

"Baby Martinez"?!? Quintana isn't half the fighter Martinez is.

This does worry me some though. Perhaps PW dehydrated for the weigh in and Martinez didn't. I don't know, in boxing I never trust **** like this, there's too much **** going on behind the scenes and too much betting involved. You never know how well the fighters have trained until the fight.

Don't a lot of fighters cut off like 12lbs in a couple of days for weigh ins?

Damn I hope Martinez hasn't been partying too hard he needs to get back into the house of pain and act like the champion he is. The rematch will probably the hardest fight of his life and he's gonna have to be on is A game for this. Hopefully someone puts up vids of his training camp he does have an unorthodox style I'd like to see how this guy trains. Does marathons on the side he should start running right now.

Damn that's a lot of weight to drop 30 days out. This can't be good for Martinez. WTF is he doing in camp?

Sergio is walking around a light heavy a month before the fight, it's ridiculous. It may not sound much, but the problem is there's not a lot of excess baggage on him, he doesn't really look like he has a lot to lose....according to reports coming out.

At the very least this means he's gonna have to overtrain. Maybe the Williams camp knew he would struggle and that's why they demanded it at 157lbs? A middleweight championship fight at 157...what the heck is the world coming to? :-(

That's what he claims because of a bad showing against Kampmann. He fought like six months ago against Henderson at 185 so the most he could've been jeopardized is 15 pounds. He himself said he was going to walk into the Henderson fight at 190 because he was not a true MW.
