Martinez said Chavez is not even in top 100 pound formpound, but was seconds away from getting knocked out by a guy not even in top 100 p4p.

Sergio is good, but he will never be as good as Pacquiao or Mayweather in the p4p rankings.

Floyds equivalent opponent to Sergio's Chavez is Cotto. And in round 12, Floyd had Cotto on ***** street.

Pacquiaos equivalent opponent to Sergio's Chavez was Margarito and in round 12, Manny was merciful.

But when Martinez stepped in with a slower, plodding Chavez, he gets awarded with a 12th round that nearly cost him the fight.

Pacquiaonand Mayweather are clearly on a level unattainable by Sergio and Sergio should be content to be the bronze medalist

Martinez gave Chavez a lesson,it was so one sided,he got overconfident in the last and got put on his ass,but instead of holding and running he slugged it out with the much bigger man,Martinez ud 12,end of...

Considering both Floyd and Manny won a belt at JrMW, let's make the match-ups (without catch-weights) and decide.

Yep and it's a crying shame that for the last few years that pac and may have behaved like two spoilt twats unable to agree a fight with each other. This is not nor should it be the attitude of the No.1 and 2 fighters and therefore imo they don't deserve all they get.

On the other hand it seems martinez is a warrior willing to fight the best on offer. I have a lot more respect for him for sure.

Big bone, I won money betting on Sergio. All I'm saying is that last night showed his peak in his era's p4p ranking will be no higher than #3.

You simply can't let a guy at Juniors level do what he did in round 12 and expect the public to respect you as though you are a Floyd or Manny.

Floyd does not fight the best in their prime, he won`t fight Martinez or Pac.

Pacquaio and Mayweather will be remembered as better ATG's but if Pacquaio loses to Marquez then he is above him in the P4P rankings imo. Pacquaio's best days will have been behind him and he cant stay top of the P4P rakings based on past achievements if he is clearly not the fighter he once was.

Comparing Chavez to Cotto is a bit unrealistic. Chavez was almost at cruiserweight weight, and was undefeated prior to this. He schooled him for 11.5 rounds, despite landing big shots Martinez survived and recovered. I think he is 3rd at the moment but could potentially move up if Pacquaio and Mayweather decline
