Give me a Martinez-williamsII and I'm happy as a pig in ****. Pavlik destroys jr. And gets back in the mix. I like Jacobs but don't think he can hang with "the big three". I could be wrong, but that's why they fight it out right?

    he is getting a Nutritionist.

pav vs. chav jr. is a good look for Kelly. getting hit by Duddy is not the same as getting hit by Pavlik.

Not a bad idea. I wouldn't dismiss Angulo. He's a tough, entertaining fighter who I could see giving some of these guys trouble.

Jacobs being a lil underestimated by some.

kelly had a nutritionist prior to the martinez fight. now...maybe it was too tall an order to come down from 190 but all reports had the weight coming off just fine until the last 5-8lbs. it just wouldnt come off. i don't know if it matters that he'll be w/ a nutritionist again even if kelly is starting from 178 this time. if he can't get under 166-168 safely than it doesnt matter where he starts.

andrade/steiglitz/bute (or an eliminated S6 fighter).

I agree 100% that Angulo is tough and entertaining. However, I do not think he is ready for the tops guys in a division above him. Martinez would probably humiliate Angulo, and Pavlik/Angulo would be a blood letting. In my opinion Angulo needs to keep doing what he's been doing for at least 3-4 more fights. Then go for a world title at 154.

This is true, but it is also true that part of the reason he has kept his weight down is that he stopped lifting weights. I think unsupervised weight lifting played a big roll in the weight gain.

you are spot on w/ the weight lifting. and i will say that at least this time a nutritionist was there prior to putting the weight on.

i mentioned in the other thread that arum seems to be more concerned w/ getting a recognizable mexican fighter in cowboy stadium than w/ kelly's health. if he can't get margo there than he'll try for jcc jr even if it means making kelly fight at 160.

i'm not sure how this works but if arum wants a fight at 160 and kelly can't make 160 and be peak...do the guys bite the hand that feeds them and tell bob to **** off? they do have guaranteed $$ for their top rank fights...:think

Maybe Kelly watched rounds 3-8 of the Martinez fight and just wants the rematch much more than he thought he did:yep

If that's reality, it's smart to test the waters at 160 first. If you can fight a "tune-up" and make a 7 figure pay day for it, that's not a bad deal.

Most people like to see fighters avenge their losses, (and preferably sooner than later). Therefore, Martinez vs. Pavlik II is the best matchup there for a lot of people.

-A Williams vs Martinez rematch is 100% welcome to anyone who saw their first fight.

-Jacobs just ain't ready for a former champ just yet. He's still got a lot to prove.

-Glad Chavez Jr is out of this mix for now.

-Pavlik-Sturm would be good, but KP has tried getting him in the ring before. No dice.

Any matchup between Martinez, Williams, and Pavlik would be fireworks. 160 still needs to fill out a little bit. Angulo would lose to Pav, Williams, and Martinez at this point imo. His people would be cashing him out against those 3 guys.
