Martinez, Williams make weight

Good man Ed. Martinez looks in good shape if you ask me.

 

He looks comfortable enough there doesn't he, what do ya think? It's hard enough to tell from a weigh-in.

Hope they're both in flying form tomorrow night anyway, whichever way it goes.

 

He looks well enough, maybe he's just one of those guys who doesn't knuckle down in training until the serious stuff starts?

 

Maybe he didn't take that weigh-in seriously as well, came to it with plenty food and water taken.

 

TBH Ed, its the 30 day weight that concerned me. Martinez was 176, thats a lot to shift in 4 weeks.

Adviser Sampson Lewkowicz said Martinez did the weight check after eating lunch and while wearing clothes, figuring that added at least three or four pounds.


DiBella: "He used to weigh that much before the fight when he was at a junior middleweight, so no issue. He's going to be the bigger stronger man in that ring. He's a pro. He has a system and it doesn't involve losing 10 pounds in a week and doing it in a stupid way. He'll lose approximately four pounds a week, which is what he needs to do."
