Martinez's heart in round 12 was phenomenal!!!

I respect him more after hearing how his knee ****ed up. It might explain why he fought so closed up when he was hurt. Crazy heart and he managed to survive the round, cant take nothing from the guy.

 

I had £40 on the stoppage for Martinez,so I was shocked when he was in trouble.One of the few times in last few years where my heart was pumping fast and I was shouting at the TV.I thought it would have been a travesty for him to lose like that after such a fabulous display of dominance.The way he led with both hands off the back foot was marvellous.

 

Yeah before the fight I thought Martinez would finish off strong.
And agreed, he was in complete control and made some rounds seem like sparring sessions

Martinez likely tore his MCL in addition to the broken left hand, so while he was most definitely hurt by those flush shots, I think it added a lot to how wobbly and unstable he looked. And still! made no attempt to hold on. It was outrageous, really.

He fought like a nutter in the 12th. Martinez is arrogant and stupid for fighting like that in the 12th..

That said Martinez showed tremendous grit and heart. He was taking flush shots and still kept pushing forward.

What then would you call the guy who continued fighting despite being totally outclassed and almost KOing his boxing superior?

It was insane, I thought why isnt he clinching? he was very close to getting ko'd because of his bravery.
