Martinez's record without the Pavlik & Williams fights

    Without those 2 victories where would he be on the P4P list?

    His 154lb title was an interim belt, Pavlik was on the slide and Williams has been found out.

    I rate him as the best at 160lb in a fractured division, and he needs a name to cement him in the P4P lists.

    A Golovkin fight would be interesting. Sturm wants nothing to do with him, Deale needs a break out fight and Chavez stole his belt and iss avoiding him. I am not sure that Barker and now Macklin helps with his legacy

    The Froch/Bute winner would be massive. likewise one from Cotto/Floyd/Alvarez/Mosley

    Yeah but P4P - 3rd on the list to Floyd and Pacman. On this list a fan shold be picky about the record

    P4P is very subjective. He's number 5 IMO behind Marquez & Donaire.

    It was these 2 fights that put him on the P4P list. Since these 2 fights his level of opponent has dropped down to top European level. My point is that he needs a big name to consolidate his place.
