I hate Cotto interviews. He's so awkward.

And ultimately we're debating something fruitless. Green lost that fight whether it was by 96-93 or what have you.

You can't make an argument that he won, hence making the whole "scorecards" discussion an absolute waste of time.

Vanes looked like he did against Ouma...which makes me worry if he's touching the glass ceiling on his potential. Still have high hopes for the guy especially if Sergio leaves the division.

It's commendable that he insists in trying to communicate directly with the American audience like this, but it seems like it's just been a long, slow and painful process for him compared with some other crossover Spanish-speaking stars.

It always makes me cringe a little, even as far as he's come.

Yeah, no ****.. I can't stand people who score a round for a guy who lands only 1 or 2 decent shots in a round.. because the perception is that he's the harder puncher... doesn't mean that **** is true.. but you almost want to score it for the guy who is known as the puncher.. so people score a round for that guy over the guy who worked his ass off for 3 mins and landed more shots.

That's the only way I can see someone scoring this 96-93, because you wait so long to see Greene land something, that when he does.. you almost give him the round by default.

I think people score this way because they listened to Teddy Atlas too much, who is always hyping a fight by saying a guy is a puncher (take Galarza last Friday).

Likewise. Always nice to see a familiar...name? Hasn't been much to discuss. One can only handle so many threads about blood doping, the PBF/Pac fight that will never happen, Haye/Klitschko and the "boring style" of european fighters before they need a long lay off.

Extremely disappointed I missed the Pavlik/Martinez fight on the boards :lol:

That is a good point. If Roach couldn't bring anything more out of him, there may just not be anything more. It could well be a case of WYSIWYG...which is only slightly disappointing. What he is now is perhaps good enough to hold a title at some point. The key is not regressing. A bad confidence-shaking loss could do that.
