He is very committed to his family, his father is disabled.. his younger brother is doing very well in the amatuers right now... Vanes is just an all round good person.
He was brought up in the amatuers by a coach named Fausto De La Torre who brought him all the way up to the Olympic try outs... since he made the olympic team and the moment he turned pro his father felt that Roach would help take him to the next level....
So far roach has done a great job, But I also feel that Fausto could have still done just as good of a job.. and more than likely would not have taken a single penny from him...

Ill be rooting for Cotto and I used to think this was a mismatch in favor of Cotto but something is itching me that Cotto is done.

I still see some scar tissue above Cotto's left eye during that interview with kellerman.

 

He may not be, alot of un clear answers here for Miguel... he is comming off of his 2nd stoppage loss and a beating he took in both, this is also his first fight at jr middle, and the first fight he will be in with out his father ring side.....
