Isn't Mustache Antonio Rubio also buried on the card somewhere?

    That's a lil foolish isn't it?

I mean isn't Mustache under the top rank banner...wouldn't if have made more sense to pack the two together?

Why? It's actually better if he gets taken out early, opposed to taking a prolonged beating.

Right it'd be much better if Vanes just took him out quickly in spectacular fashion than watching Ouma take 12 rounds of punishment.

Should be interesting to start at least.

Nope -- Rubio is fighting in Mexico City.

THE MUSTACHE HAS RETURNED TO MECCA BABY!

Are you sure he still isn't under Top Rank? Coulda sworn he was.

Top Rank does plenty of cards in Mexico. I believe Super Mario is quite popular there. After his mustache healed he knocked out some 20-2 guy in the first round. Now he's fighting for a minor title.

I'm just curious I guess as to why they're spreading themselves out with two shows in two different locales. Especially when they had a Fox sports date good to go. Just odd I guess.

I'm also asking because my friend who knows John Duddy says there was talks of Duddy vs Mexican Freddy Mercury in March and you'd figure if Top Rank wanted that, they could've done that.

Top Rank has to pay Vanes and Ouma out of the Fox revenues. Probably not much left over.

The Rubio fight in Mexico City will probably do a pretty nice live gate.

Well of course. It's not every day Mexico's version of Rick Rude holds a fight in his home town.
