Round 3 was great action there, good trading. Both men giving and taking shots, Vanes always harder and better quality.

Still his defence is **** when he pulls away, he puts his arms down. Ouma is taking advantage of that with little flurries but unfortunately for him they ain't carrying much puff. No signs he's going anywhere though, looks set for 10 as expected.

4 is more of the same. Ouma comes forward and throws some strong pitter patter stuff that lands consisently. Vanes throws BIG shots that clip Ouma but look great. Vanes straight right is a thing of beauty when he lands it. He can land it consistently from a distance but when Ouma walks through it, Ouma finds a way to land inside. 10-9 Vanes.

    40-36 Vanes.

Gotta give it to Ouma, he's losing and he's on a bad run in his career but he's still good value. Rock solid chin and I can see his gameplan is to hope this activity pays off in the later rounds but it seems unlikely.

Seems a good match..I doubt Martirosyan has had many fights at this pace under constant pressure where his power isn't really affecting the opponent.

Ouma is getting to him. It's getting interesting.

I figure Ouma has no power because he never sets his feet. He punches on the way in just using his arms. No leverage at all...

Round 5 begins with Ouma coming forward again. Vanes still landing the 1-2 from a safe distance but Ouma gets inside for a moment and tries an upercut. Vanes from a distance is very dangerous but he can't seem to keep Ouma back. Ouma with a 1-2 that misses but flusters Vanes into resetting. Ouma lands a nice crisp hand on the inside that sends Vanes back a bit. Vanes and Ouma get tussled up and Ouma nearly falls down before Bayless saves him. What a hero. This round it seems like Ouma is determined to get inside Vanes and **** him off. When Ouma is inside, Vanes has two options. HE either eats a bunch of soft punches or he clinches. Vanes' inside game looks a little weak if yer looking for a weakness. His 1-2 from a distance is a thing of beauty. Vanes warned for some tomfoolery. Things are getting frisky in there now. Ouma is getting inside Vanes and we have Bayless warning Vanes about his head. Ouma can walk Vanes down and seems to be gaining a semblance of timing. Vanes going backwards, Ouma coming forward and Ouma is doing well for this round. Ouma is ducking the straight right and this is the first time I've seen Vanes look a little flustered. 10-9 Ouma.

    49-46 for Vanes.

BTW this is the 3rd round in a row Ouma has tried to confront/say somethign to Vanes after the round and Vanes has blown him off. Weird.

I'm thinking Vanes is quite happy this is 10 rounds and not 12 at this point. He hasn't experienced this type of pressure. He's doing okay but its getting harder and harder now. There has been a slight shift in round 5 and 6 for Ouma.

Vanes lands three BIG right hands in a row and Ouma walks through them. Vanes lands a nasty low blow and gets a stern warning from a very liberal Bayless tonight. Vanes pushes Ouma's head down for a second but he's controlled this round mostly. He looked much more comfortable on the inside this round but Ouma is certainly landing there. Ouma lands a three punch combo on Vanes that has him lunging with a wild right. Ouma times the wild right and the two engage in a little slugfest. Round ends in a skirmish and Ouma smiles as he goes back to his corner. 10-9 Vanes.

    59-55 Vanes.

Vanes is on the backfoot now. He was before, but he's completely running away in circles.

this'll certainly be a good learning experience for Vanes. IMO he does better when he uses more movement .. take near the end of the 7th

Vanes is wild now with the right hand and both guys tie up. Vanes certainly is on his bike a bit, bouncing around and movin still throwing powerful right hands from a distance. When the right hand lands it's a beaut, powerful and crisp. Ouma can just walk through it though because he's friggin Kassim Ouma and he doesn't go backards. Vanes looks happy to go 10 rounds and take a nice deicison win. It'll be well earned if the fight keeps up this way.
