Oh that is awesome!!! I might have to roadtrip up there just to pay my respects. Marvelous is my 2nd favorite all time fighter but equal to george in my admiration of him as a man. That dude could grind. The impression that I have of him is that there is no amount of resistance that would be able to dissuade him once committed to conquest. That inside that bubble, he wasn't unthinking. One can go full ****** and be consumed by the adrenaline inherent in the charge of the light brigade. Imo the legends are the ones that retain the ability to calculate with shaky hands.

I’m not Hagler’s greatest fan, but he is definitely deserving of this honor.

Amazing that tiny Brockton gave us both Marciano and Hagler. I know Marvin is from NJ and relocated there in his youth, but that’s where it started for him, where he lived when he came up the ranks and he never turned his back on it to go live in the bid city when he was in his fighting years.
