in other words, it's second hand knowledge and no you've never seen Greb fight. with him being as shot as you say he was, it's a wonder he was able to win a title and retain it as often as he did

I think the reason he equates Hagler with Bennie Briscoe is that both were bald and black and about the same height. the poor guy doesnt even realize Hags a southpaw

and the reason he scoffs at Hags jab (what else can he do) is that he doesnt realize his jab put 55 stiches in Hamsho's face

Yipes, how long are you following boxing sir ?.
Of course Greb was a shot fighter after 300 hard fights when he lost a controversial decision to Flowers in 1926 and then retired...Greb was NOT BORN OLD. He was in his great prime years before when he won the title and was feared by all fighters from MW to Heavyweight...Grow up please and read about the history of boxing before you spout nonsense...:patsch

I think some of you guys are forgetting about Hagglers ability to switch from Southpaw to Orthodox at a moments notice....watch this youtube video which puts some good examples in slow motion:

This is part of what makes Haggler the GOAT middleweight in my opinion.

And at the age of 50 he just went 12 rounds with probably the most dangerous man in boxing.

They are both bald, black, small for the division, have great chins, great stamina, good head movement, known to lead with the head, and the fact that Hagler is a southpaw doesn't make a huge difference since Briscoe was also left handed he just fought orthadox. Yes Hagler is more talented and more diverse overall fighter but styles make fights and against Monzon they would look the same.

Yeah as I said it is laughable to say Hagler had an ATG jab it was solid nothing more nothing less.

I would give Hagler a better shot against Hopkins simply because Hopkins was sometimes a very slow starter but both are really bad matchups for Hagler because of the size and speed disadvantages plus the iron chins.

Who respectfully didn't press for the knockout he could have most certainly achieved.....and he came very close to it in the last round. Hopkins is pushing his luck by not getting the hell out of the sport while he can. Imagine if he fought Beterbiev, or Kovalev again?

It's laughable that you think his jab is just "solid" and not ATG level... What the fück have you been watching? I don't even want to communicate with you anymore if you really think that..

Hagler having a great jab I guess is like Duran being a world class defensive fighter. Hipster revisionist history.

Sure compared to the mythology of Hagler as a big bad brawler and his character in the Fight Night video games. His jab and boxing skills are underrated but it doesn't mean they are ATG.

I'd expect Hgaler to come out slugging against Monzon or Hopkins like he did against Hearns he would know they have too much length and boxing skills to out box them.

It's not hard to believe he was washed up after 300 fights, but it can't actually be confirmed unless we had footage of before and after

Was his style like Aaron Pryor, or Hamsho, or more like Ray Mancini? the last two like Greb, were brawlers without a punch

RR you frustrate me, but you seem like a nice young fella who should read a book on the great Harry Greb. It will do you good. Greb's style was original and truly never duplicated before or after...And remember, THERE WERE SOME GREAT FIGHTERS BEFORE TELEVISION...
