I do not know about that. In, Hagler vs Ray. Hagler was in the 11th hour into retirement ... Hagler fought everyone and had to wait for his shot at the title. A lunch pail boxer, who is 50-50 against the best ATG MW's in History.

From what I know, they fought them occasionally, not all the time. For example, the Suga Man started taking on MW's frequently only after 1950.

Would he have to wear a long Trench coat and wear a hat?

With Hagler you get the feeling he would do well in the the mix of a 1940's era. He was that tough and he seemed to get tougher the harder he was hit and the more the guy would throw. That is a dangerous guy. He was a man who did worse when guys moved and gave him negative reactions or backpedaled. Guys in eras who would fight him and brawl. That worked great with a southpaw who had a 75 inch reach..

True, but that's just 1 opponent. And although LaMotta was a tough sob, he ain't no Hagler.

LaMotta stands no chance of beating Hagler.
