Marvin Hagler on HOF weekend talking about Floyd "Who do you think you are"

That first big bomb from Hearns that I think started to open a cut on Marvin would have sent Floyd to oblivion. Hell might have KOed some HWs.

All it did was make Hagler mad and more determined!

 

LOL... in the sense they provoked a reaction. However, provoking a reaction is not quite presenting themselves the same way. Ali was understood as very intelligent, extremely charismatic, and he was part of a cultural evolution of changing ignorant stereotypes.

The cultural context is different, but I don't think Floyd is viewed in the same light. Great fighter, and he does have a public persona that is polarizing, however, I'm not sure one can say they have a similar public persona.

 

Not really.....Ali was a man of substance who was a political figure even though he wasn't a politican. He was a part of something important outside the ring. He was cocky and vocal, but there's A LOT of African American fighters like that. But Floyd is only similiar to ALI in the fact that they are both Black and they are both great boxers. Other than that they are not similar.

Wait.....Hagler said that if Mayweather demands a test from Pac, then he "gotta take one too". Mayweather has ALWAYS said he would take the test. Also, Hagler sounded bitter about his experience with Leonard.

 

Yes that was the later ali, but his attitude first sprung up to entertain ppl watch Ali made in miami.

I love Hagler; my favorite fighter when I was a child. He makes great points, even if I don't agree with all of them.

 

Of course from a *****s' perspective, he is not right!

Love Hagler, he was a great fighter and now post boxing he is always a very interesting guy to watch in interviews. He is simply a class act.

I can easily say that marvin is still bitter about letting his over confidence lose his fight to Leonard.. If he was not so sure that he would beat Leonard, he would have never agreed to the bigger ring, 12 rounds instead of 15 and fighting conventional more then he normally does.

Now take the test pac and shut the **** up you, you ****ing youtube baby. its a ****ing shame that the only thing you know about boxing is pac..
