    hagler is more talented than mayweather so who cares. and if he tried that sneaky hook like he did vs ortiz he'd be laughed at then brutalised :rofl

    Jesus, this is like reading the writings of a 6 year old.

    Even if Ortiz has came into fights heavier than Hagler, he has not got 1/4 of the talent Hagler had.

    You say Hagler lost twice before being champion....but one was a robbery which he avenged by KO regardless, and the other he avenged by KO 6 months later, and then 6 months after the 2nd meeting fought him again and KO'd him again.


    If you genuinely believe that Mayweather is more talented than Hagler, you need to have your head examined.

    Mayweather would not be any of the fabulous four.

    Easy to look so talented against B level fighters your whole career ..I don't recall MW ever beating a HOF in his prime the way Hagler destroyed Hearns ...But hey MW is more talented :rofl

    Having a better resume or more accomplishments doesn't necessarily make you more talented. Lots of athletes waste their talent. Hector Camacho, Michael Nunn were more physically talented/gifted than a lot of fighters with more accomplishments than them.

    From a pure boxing resume standpoint, Floyd has wasted some of his talent in his failure to face certain fighters (basically one just sticks out like a sore thumb).

    "Talent" is kind of subjective though.

    For instance, some athletes just pick up on things quicker, but may not be as fast or strong. Petronelli said that Hagler picked up on things quicker and learned faster than other boxers. You could say he had a natural talent for boxing. How does that compare to someone who may learn slower, but is blessed with physical gifts such as blazing speed and reflexes?
