At MW? Hagler. Nobody beats Hagler at MW in his prime.

On another thread you said you thought that most posters on ESB
    are idiots.

Then here you are starting a new thread that essentially duplicates the current thread regarding Jones VS Hagler.

Jones by a narrow UD. Too slick and fast and had serious power at 160, not that he would stop him.

15 rounds, MW: Hagler. Anything above that, Jones. Jones never, ever fought anything like Hagler at MW.

I really need to watch some Hagler fights as I was a bit young even for the Leonard fight. Of what I have seen, though, Jones would have easily outboxed him.

Jones is an ATG, nobody can dispute that, but at MW he never even remotely faced someone like Hagler. He was a monster. Go watch the Hagler- Hearns fight on youtube for a start.

I've seen that on ESPN Classic. Jones would never allow a slugfest like that. Speaking of Hearns, Jones would demolish him at MW. For some reason, other than that right hand, Hearns never really impressed me but again, I have seen little except for the Duran and Barkley fights.

Fair enough. Different viewpoints. Jones never fought great fighters at MW: Hagler would have beheaded Hopkins, for example. But Jones was a monster fighter, so if anyone would have tested Hagler, it would have been him. Still, Hagler could do it all. Brawled when he wanted to brawl. Ambidextrous, could box like crazy, tough as nails, granite chin. Jones would have had a serious, serious battle in front of him, no matter who won.

What's the point of starting this when this thread already effectively exists right now?

    At 160: Hagler
    At 168: Jones
    Pound-for-pound: Jones

The highlighted part is right, the 2nd part is not.

Monzon would have beaten Hagler, Hopkins arguably was more versatile and a better ring general and has as much a shot at beating Hagler as Hagler has of beating Hopkins, peak Robinson could have beaten Hagler, and several others would have a serious chance at beating The Marvelous One.

What in the **** makes you think it would be Roy deciding what to "allow" and what not? It would be Hagler not allowing Jones to fight his fight, and once Roy's jaw is tapped, he's effectively *****-slapped to the canvas.
